The optical interface of the IDM-VDA4200 series 4-channel video optical multiplexer is a standard FC type and can be customized to interfaces such as SC; the optical fiber is single-mode by default with multimode optional. The standard configuration of the device provides a transmission distance of 20 km; the transmit optical power at the transmitter is -12 to -7 dBm and the receiver sensitivity is better than -21 dBm (1310 nm). The difference between the two is the available link optical power margin, which compensates for optical fiber attenuation, splicing and connector losses. For sites beyond 20 km, a long-distance optical module can be installed, and the device supports video lossless regenerative repeaters that regenerate signals stage by stage, immune to electromagnetic interference (EMI) and radio frequency (RF) interference (RFI). The video format is compatible with PAL, NTSC and SECAM.
